Hi all

I have inherited several small trees of this kind in my garden. I have only had two spring/summer's with them, however, they don't flower at all. At all. My assumption is they don't because of the copious amounts of shade in my garden, however I was wondering if I could encourage a little colour next season by a bit of careful watering around spring and also I have heard of something to do with old steelo's or iron chelate around the base? Can't find any info about that. Also a good feed of manure? These are snipets of information that I can't clarify, and would love to know if there is anything I could do to encourage just a little bit of coulour to some of my lovely trees. I understand the shade is the main inhibitor, but I have never watered these trees in the past and there are a few, surely one of them receives enough sun to flower a bit!

Any info would be appreciated.

cheers
