First callas are not lilies at all, despite their name :-) They are members of the Arum family. Second, you may have some issues with the warmth of your zone inhibiting good lily ("true lily', genus Lilium) growth. They need a cold dormant period and it is suggested they be chilled each year before planting. But......if you are willing to just accept the term "lily" as just part of the common name and not adhere to true lilies, you may very well get a serious extended bloom period. You may need to do some research on exactly when these may bloom for you in your frost-free zone and plan accordingly. I'm not sure you will get year round bloom but with care, I bet you get a good 8-9 months. Weldon, I have lifted/divided crinum only once, and that was in early November during a plant rescue. They survived (did you know that even if you cut a bulb, as long as the root wad at the bottom is intact, the bulb will survive? I didn't, but sure was glad to find that little fact out!). I was told that the larger bulbs would bloom the next year, having stored enough energy to do so, but the smaller bulbs might not bloom for a year or two. Good luck with your lifting and dividing. Probably someone with a lot more knowledge will answer your query. Personally, I'd go with what the next guy says!

It hasn't opened fully, but no it doesn't have a scent. I'd like to get some more, they also have red and greenish yellow flowers. Don't seem to mind shade and dry conditions and they clump up, also you can apparently take leaf cuttings and separate the bulbs after flowering. The leaves are meant to die off in summer but these stayed green, in shade in Sydney
