I keep hearing/reading not to use phosphorus on Grevilleas but I am told to use Fish Blood and Bone or Blood and Bone on them. Both of these have phosphorus? I am confused.
I would not choose fish blood. Some people use blood and bone, but a very small quantity only. In Australia we can buy special fertiliser for native plants, with low phosphorus. Fertiliser for lawns is also low in phosphorus, but it is very strong, so use only a VERY little. As Danili says, it might be better not to use fertiliser at all. Grevilleas grow naturally on very poor soil here, and it is easy to kill them with fertiliser. Cheers, Trish
