Thanks so much to everyone. Janet, I thought that might be a rubus, but then I believed that was wishful thinking after second guessing myself. The irony is that I told my husband I thought it was either a blackberry or raspberry, but then I even added, "I don't know... probably not if my luck holds." ;) Jeannie, I appreciate the link. :) I don't mind having it, but it's in the dead center of the yard! Either I want to move it to the back where I'm going to create a little flower garden or give it to someone. You're definitely right though. There is no doubt that it's a Century. Does anyone have any advice about that Tallow? I did some research yesterday and that Tallow tree is listed in the top 10 most invasive plants in Alabama. :( It's too bad because it really is lovely. I can easily see though how it would spread because those seeds fall off by the bazillion. Again, thank you to everyone.

I run an online store seeling Australian seed, the ten fCorymbia Ficifolialat ovate khaki seeds about 6mm long would have to be the Corymbia Ficifolia. Euc sideroxylon rosea and Euc leucoxylon petiolaris are quite similar as in being small and red and black although the E. sideroxylon is a little more orange than red. (the black are the seed in both these the red or orange is only chaff) Eucalyptus caesia seed is about 2mm and dark in colour and a little dimpled looking. Very interesting. It must be a natural mutation? I looked up the new release plants and the breeding of the "Ribbon of Hope" cultivar has taken a long time. And they are just released at my local Bunnings in Qld for $53 a plant. Don't let anyone whippersnip yours!!!!!

Not enough information to go on, I'm afraid, jersey_jon. Are you able to post a photo of the plant, leaves, fruits, flowers, bark, the situation in which it's growing, surrounding vegetation? The more information the better for identification purposes. Also, it's unlikely the leaves would smell like a Eucalyptus or Acacia. I'm unfamiliar with any Acacia leaves which smell like a Eucalyptus, the leaves of which have a distinct odour. They smell, well, just like a Eucalyptus!
