Cuttings preferred...anything I've got is yours! Amanda 'romando'

This is my best Blue Bajou flower so far - I'm actually not sure that it's a bluer shade of lavender than Blue Moon or Bering Renaissance. I seem to recall one member here saying that it needs the cooler autumn temperatures (or perhaps the slightly more acidic and wet autumn soil) to appear bluish. Or perhaps the more bluish pictures I've seen of it are simply a matter of it being photographed under more shaded lighting conditions. But for a rose that doesn't carry the gene for the blue plant pigment delphinidin (only the genetically engineered rose Applause does this, I believe), Blue Bajou still looks too blue to be filed under pink, IMO.

I'm sorry to say that those plants look far too far gone to be revivable. Lavender is extremely difficult to grow indoors - I don't why they bother to sell those little gift plants for indoors - they are pretty much doomed for failure. Combined with a typically grossly inappropriate planting media and the inadequate indoor conditions, they don't have much of a chance.

LOL ken - DH is a very good amateur photographer. My ‘point-and-shoot’ approach with a cheap camera amuses him :-). If I want really good pictures I get him to take them with his camera (which is so heavy I have trouble picking it up when he’s got one of his long, fancy birding lenses on it! I have no idea how to use that camera...!) Whenever I ask him to take a picture for me, I have to be very specific about what to include in the picture - he tends to take extreme close-ups whereas I’m interested in the literal bigger picture :-). So I do tend to obsess a bit about my lousy photography skills because of the available standard for comparison....
