four variations on lavender-red bitones

On my strip to iris paradise, I saw a lot of work being done with lavender standards and red (rust) falls. Here are a few:

MAN'S BEST FRIEND (P.Black 2008) is a very nice IB; nice red-brown falls

GOLLY GEE WHIZ (Burseen, 2003) this is a back lit photo, which might exaggerate the lines and glow a bit, but it really is a very pretty iris!

CAST A SPELL (Blyth 1996) Very rich color here, Blyth seems to be doing a lot with this combination.

ADOREE (Blyth, possibly to be introduced by Keppel?) I heard Barry Blyth talk about this line of hybridizing and his work with keith Keppel. This one is named after Blyth's mother.

All but the last picture were taken at Mid America.
