Nancy, Sure! Would love even just the Dahlias alone. Please email me at: christy51274@hotmail.com. I've never mailed a plant, so am hoping maybe you could give me some pointers. Should I mail this plant bare root? Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

MBT... I haven't grown this Senecio myself for a few years, but what I remember is the delightful scent of the flowers. You should take a cue from Amber and do the daily "once over" of your plants to see the little changes. It's worth the effort. I try take a cup of coffee each morning and peruse my plants. I've been a little lax in doing so the last few months due to health problems that my husband is experiencing and a new puppy in our midst (who goes from psycho to sweet in 2.5 seconds, I swear!) I look forward to our household settling down so I can get back to my beloved plant routine... Denise in Omaha P.S. Awsome photo, Anya!!!

I don't know if it is my place to tell you this, I don't intend to step on others toes. This is what I did with mine because I couldn't seem to be able to propagate the plant, I set up a flat of soil, (at any time if you don't know what I'm talking about because you are new I will explane this to you.) then I set the plant on top of this and set the string of pearls down on top of the soil, the roots were still in their pot, I kept this soil damp, but let it dry out a few days between waterings. They are rooted down now, and I learned. I had a friend who wanted a box full of this plant tell me what to do and it worked. Take a plastic flat 18 x 18" and line it with newspaper, even up the 2" sides this will hold the soil in. Mine is an variegated plant so it's more sensitive. Another bit of information, they seem to take more cold than I expected. Mine live outside and temps are going down to 50F this week, and I'm not bringing them in, they have overhead protection from the cold and rain. I water and fertilize if they are in growth, if they stop growing I stop watering and let them go dormant. The are on the shaded side of my lath house and get plenty air circulation which is important. You ask the questions I will try to help you, I live in International zone 20 and Calif. zone 10 I think. One more bit of information they are winter growers. Norma

Succulents should not sit in wet soil for a long time. They are 'programmed' to live in arid locations with very lean, rocky substrates that drain fast. Many do not get rain for months. Their substrate should dry up between watering. Many particles of grittier, fast draining mix used in containers will hold on some water internally, and slowly release it to plant. Extra water just drains away. But finer soils stay wet for longer time, they are saturated with water and small particles stick together. There is much less space - if any - between them, and that impairs air exchange. I am not trying to convince you - if you are happy with your plants growth and whatever amount of time it takes to look after them. There are many ways to grow plants successfully :)
