A Eucalypt is to big to survive in a pot long term.

I suspect that, as it gets bigger its water consumption will reach a point where you will not be able to keep up your watering.

When in the ground they can send their roots down to the water table and generally obtain all the moisture they need.

What's a Rainbow Bark Eucalyptus?

Eucalyptus deglupta is called Rainbow Gum by most people.

I wondered at first if this was a new name for Snow Gum as they have beautiful multicoloured bark. How interesting. It's also known as Mindanao Gum. It's not an Aussie eucalypt at all. According to Wikipedia it's the only one found naturally in the northern hemisphere. Learn something every day.

I think they're found in the Philippines. They certainly are beautiful. Fairchild Gardens in Coral Gables (just south of Miami) Florida have some big ones.

There are a few planted in the Cairns area.
I collected some seed the other day and the capsules split easily, thus I assume they are ready to sow.
I will wait a few weeks and see if any germinate.
