WANTED: Ramsons, Wild Garlic

I am after some Ramsons aka Wild Garlic (Allium Ursinum), if anyone is able to send some I would gladly pay postage of course. Or if you can point me in the direction of an Australian supplier, I have check the usual sources, Eden Seeds, Diggers, Four Seasons Herbs...So far only seeds available from ebay UK.

Hi Treya

Been looking for this one myself. The only other places I found were in the UK, too. I can however recommend Nicky's seeds for the price and fast despatch.

Thanks Andy sa, I looked up ramsons and Allium Ursinum on the AQIS website to see if they are restricted and could not find anything, do you know if they are allowed into Australia? Found them on the website you recommended.

For those who don't know about the plants,there are native and non-native species. You can look up names of both at http://plants.usda.gov . They have photos of the native ones,and little on non-native species. You may have to search on the web for photos of what the non-native look like so you know what not to get. I am just looking for the native ones listed above.

Hi Kathie, I see someone else posted for trade, I have heirloom Sweet Annie seeds. In the summer they grow so good, and the aroma is soooooooooooooo WONDERFUL :) I have searched everywhere to see if anyone had them for sale on E-bay or anywhere, no one seems to have any! I also have some heirloom kind of other flower seeds I will have to look in my bags and plastic baggies. I picked a few seeds from the Miss Wilmont sweet Pea, I had a few of them that the deer and turkey could not find :) Please let me know if your interested in some trades? Problem solved.... just dropped the whole lot and they have vanished from sight..... of course, they may pop up on my office floor some time.... most of them rolled under the computer!

A. ursinum appear on the "permitted" list, so should be OK if they come from a commercial supplier in a sealed packet of single species.
If you're not sure, I've always found the AQIS people friendly and prompt to respond to an email enquiry.

Hey treya, i see this is an old post but i would like to know whether you have found allium ursinum? just started to search rof it myself on the web and found this forum...www.allrareherbs.com.au sell seeds, i will order some and see how i go!
