I understand that around the Gulf this is considered a weed, but it's tender here. I'd LOVE to get a start---lost mine over the winter.

Greetings. My percussion teacher is a very fine drummer and instrument maker from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. When he lived in Hawaii, he had a big garden where he grew his own canna indica plants, and used the seeds (also known as 'indian shot') for his instruments. His supply of seed is running out, and we have no idea where to find canna indica seeds in sufficient quantities in Los Angeles. We would love to know if any of you have WAY too many canna indica seeds...they can be old seeds, they don't need to be viable for growing...they'll be put to a different use, one that brings smiles and joy, and gets people dancing. Please let us know what you'd like to trade for several pounds. (Perhaps one of the finished instruments?)

Plants may have multiple methods of reproduction (sexual and asexual) like clones in the form of bublets, stolens, rhizomes. I found this on the web. Seeds are rarely produced, but as the vine grows very rapidly, often sending runners along the ground to new areas (unknown to the causal observer), it is often thought to be 'self-seeding'. Can cover large areas in a short time! Ipomoea indica can be invasive and should not be planted close to wildlands!. .

I am doing a study on chemical activity of Opuntia flowers and I would like to know if somebody has Opuntia ficus-indica flowers available. If you have some flowers available that I could take a look at please let me know. I am willing to pay all the shipping charges. Thanks!
