There are so many flower names that can be puns...the puzzle is clue #2. Do you mean that when you type in the flower name it doesn't come up as a flower? Because I cant think of any off hand that don't come up. One of the most obvious is tulip, but of course that googles just fine, as does phlox, anemone, cereus, sedum (I actually thought at one time that a pun on sedum would be a good name for a nursery business)...and everything else I come up with.

Good afternoon tufanwbe ~ OGR's are wonderful roses to grow here. I've been gardening on a shoestring for years, so haven't spent lots of $$ on amending our soil. Although, through the years, it is much better than when I first started gardening. Someone told me many years ago that roses don't grow in FL, but that didn't stop me from buying them. I have lost some of the newer varieties, but once I found out about the OGR's I am hooked on them. Like minibim, I also have Louis Phillipe and have made many new plants from the first one I got many, many years ago. My style of gardens are tropical/cottage. We live in a 50's cottage and I was growing a cottage style garden long before I knew what the exact meaning was. Living here I also have lots of tropical plants thrown in and love the way they grow together. I also have Pink Pet, Penelope, Duchesse de Brabant, Old Blush, Prosperity, Goldensun, White Ducher, Maggie, Mme. Laurette Messimy, Mutabilis, Vincent Godsiff, all in the ground and doing well. Crepuscule, Felicia, Don Juan, Chrysler Imperial, Homere, Ballerina, Bon Silene, Cocktail, Kathleen, Dainty Bess, La Marne, Phyllis Bide, Souvenir D'Elise Vardon, Smith's Parrish, Blue Girl, Maman Cochet, Borderer and maybe a couple others in huge pots. I did put the ones in pots in good potting soil. I give all my roses, miracle gro, some rose food, some alfalfa tea, and some epsom salts, along with banana peels blended in the blender with water. Don't be envious, get out there and go for it. You won't be disappointed. From your photo albums I'd say you are doing a really nice job at your place. It does bloom in the winter, but not much. I definitely keep it on the dry side, letting the soil get very dry between waterings. The area where I keep mine is in my basement, and stays pretty cool (45F-58F during winter, ave~54F), so it will need very little water at those temps.

I REALLY was happy with this picture, so I decided (for me as well as a sample to show potential customers) to have a 20x30 made of it. I used mpix, and was completely blown away at how well it turned out! I went to Hobby Lobby and had it framed and matted!!
