Anyone in northern New South Wales or SE Queensland grown either of these? My local nursery hasn't heard of either and I can't find seeds in any of my local shops.
How well do they grow? I do know salsify can be weed in parts of the world.
Peter, Eden Seeds has seeds for Salsify. I've got a heap of recipes, mainly Italian, that use Salsify but I've never got around to growing any. It's much more common in Europe than here. It's grown like parsnip.
Both are root veggies with similar growing conditions to parsnip. Both have edible shoots. They are not related to each other nor to parsnip. Phoenix Seeds in Tassie carries both. Hope this helps.
