Cordyline Troubles

kelly9683

I recently received 2 very tall (4-5m)cordylines from my nieghbour. They were not transported very well and were left in my yard with no dirt around the roots.

I proceeded to plant them and water them however they are not in a good way. Most of the leaves have gone yellow or brown and I have removed these. The top 5 or so leaves are still ok but I am wanting to know if it would be better to leave them and see how they go or cut the tops off?

I previously hadn't cut the tops off as I didn't want to put them under more stress.

Please help!
