Wonderful Day Lillies Barbara such strong colours.
You should ask for some when the neighbours divide them.
If you want any of mine let me know I divide them in the Autumn.
That are a good no maintenance plant, and dont suffer from any diseases.

Such a simple looking plant the Daylilly,but such a pretty one,superb colours and the Don,t mess with me look,on the Willy-wag Tail,such a cheeky bird,lovely pics,cheers greencroc.

The Willy wagtail is a great photo. You wouldn't believe one has built a nest under my patio but so high I can't get a decent pic Barbara, even with the 300mm. Talk about gnashing of teeth :-)

We had a willy wagtail nest in our climbing rose that had 3 babies in it. It was only about 6ft off the ground so we could watch the little family grow and fly away. We even saw a ww chase off a wedge tailed eagle one day, what a laugh that was.

Great photos of the lilies and I love the willys. My parents loved having some willys nest on the power lines that came into the house, which was right next to their bedroom window until they started singing half the night!

Yesterday I noticed the white herons are rebuilding their nest, looks like they may raise another family in my front yard. Whilst watching them I noticed there was a Peewee nest a little further up in the tree, it is out of my lens range unfortunatley.
I just hope they have their own babies this year. Last year a Common Koel (rain bird) laid an egg in the peewee's nest and the poor things were run ragged trying to keep food up to the chick. (we called the chick Baby Huey) :-)

Thats wonderful about the white herons Barbara, did you manage to see the other little ones fly away.
And now you have Peewee's nesting lucky you, Thats great that you are getting some daylilies.
O those poor birds fancy having to look after one of those chicks and it would be so big.
