King, over 50 years old. I got it from a greenhouse that I worked for recieved it from a business that closed. It was in a 10 inch clay pot and just nuts. I babied it and trimmed it for 2 years. Stopped working there and the other workers over fertilized it and ruined all my hard work. So I bought it. Took almost all its branches off and have had it in my possession since April

Stush the standard version of 'Asahi' is 'Golden Street'. I may have sent you one of those (or not) a few years ago. I no longer grow it. It is nice but no room and with all the variegation it does not get as tall as a normal standard trifasciata anyway and the leaves also stay much thinner. It is a nice plant in its own right though! Maybe someone here still grows it. I don't know if I have ever seen a "Forescate' version of hahni.......though some offsets of 'Golden hahni' may have come close. I love 'Forescate' but I have a hard time getting it through winter here.
