There were so many things there that I took photos of, but like I said in the other post I had to crop them.

So many people there as well and all in the Pics so most are only close up after I finished with them.

I liked the way Ian had everything planted under the shade of the fruit trees these Caladiums look right at home.

know the name of the first two, Ian told me too blame it on ageing:

This one was very colourful against the lattice I think it was trained as a Standard.

Its is a beautiful garden and a credit to Ian and Judy, I wonder if they will build anything else.

As I think they had just about used up most of the spaces in the Garden, but we all know Ian dont we.

It's an ok garden but there are still things that need doing. I have 4 or 5 projects planned for 2006 starting Christmas holidays.
I can assure you that the Garden will look different next year.

Didn't I remember you saying that you weren't going to start anything new, Ian?? LOL, you are devils for work, but what a credit to Ian and Judy. Great pictures Misty, thanks.

Booberry, behind the lettuce is 'Early Purple Sprouting' Broccoli, which has been a bit of a disappointment. The plants are huge, but still no heads on them, and it's July! If I don't see some development soon, I'm going to rip them out and plant some more lettuce or bush beans. When I threatened to rip out the peas, they started flowering the next day, so maybe the broccoli is listening : ) There's also carrots between the onions and lettuce, but the onions are so tall that they don't show up in the picture. On the Echinaceas, all of the ones I have so far are hybrids, Sunrise, Sundown, Summer Sky, and Harvest Moon. If there was one, other than purple or white, that would come true from seed, I would try wintersowing it. I saw a thread on the perennials forum, that showed a photo of a new one coming out called Tomato Soup. As much as I love wintersowing, you guys know that I'll probably "have" to have that red Echinacea. Bonnie

Hi HighAlt, I had Gaillardia 'Burgundy' about five years ago, but they died off in the winter. I read that they were more sensitive than other Gaillardias to being too wet in the winter. They like dry. Too bad, because it was a very nice, long-flowering plant. It's interesting that my short Gaillardia volunteer has so much red/burgundy color in it. I think it's a bit different than the actual 'Goblin' cultivar -- I think mine is slightly taller, but nowhere near as tall as the normal variety. So, hey, maybe if I propagate a bunch by cuttings, I could have naming rights! Anyway, I think Gaillardia is such a great flower with a very long bloom season, but people don't seem to appreciate it as much as I do. They're extremely variable from seed, so I will be taking cuttings of the ones I like and want more of. A few years ago, I had a few that came out with trumpet-shaped petals, just like the 'Fanfare' cultivar. Somehow, they died off. I even had one come out pink and white, which would have been great to propagate. But it never came back after winter. My Coreopsis flops over way too much. They're covering some other young flowers I planted by some of them, and I'm going to have to cut them back soon. Been trying to enjoy them a little longer first, though. Yes, there are lavenders planted among mine. They look good together. This week, there are a lot of other flowers blooming, too, so that photo of the longer flowerbed doesn't quite do it justice -- it had too much yellow a few weeks ago when that was taken. My Shastas are the 'Little Princess' variety, but I don't think they're the best ones. Their bloom season is only 3 weeks or so. I'd rather have 'Becky' as I've read that she blooms much, much longer. Just saw your other post -- cool stuff. Glad to have inspired you!

Yes thank you Misty for the hard work you are doing showing all those lovely photos, some garden it is very lovely a lot of hard work being done by Ian & Judi but it is paying of.

Thanks for sharing the garden and the pictures.
For a new gardener like myself, I find it wonderful. Ian and Judy I wish myself in a position to garden with such dedication as you in the future. (Once my son has grown, as a two year old somewhat limits the time one has in the garden).
MM, you too are an inspiration, I love your genuine enjoyment of all flora and fauna, and ability with the computer and camera ( I must get instructions on how to post pictures one day - although I know you have given them many times)

Well Ian and Judy, I don't know how you can improve upon perfection. However my teenage daughter did say that she would collect the money at the gate for you next year as long as the same good looking young man that was there this year is given the same job!!!!!! She was absolutely smitten!
