Thanks Jan for the Pic maybe another one later as it gets warmer. Yes the sun does dry out the petals reguardless to how much water goes to the roots. And those hot drying winds does it as well. Cheers..MM.
Hi Jan, Very nice pic of your burgandy iceberg rose. Mine is now out in full bloom and the petals appear to be a bit darker. I must take a snap now and see what it looks like after I scan it. Best wishes, Margaret.
Mine also has a silvery back to the petals and fades with age. It is much more burgundy/wine coloured than yours appears on my screen. It also is not so near as full as yours, being more a semi double. Will get photos when they bloom. I have 5 so i am fairly sure they are correctly named.
Here are some on line photos that look exactly like mine. I can imagine though, that a photo taken early before the flower was fully open, would look like yours.
