What are the odds of that happening, both of us posting a Kookaburra and Frangipani :-)
I must admit I don't actively encourage the Kookas, I'm always worrried they may take a fancy to my goldfish.
I can't believe how many flowers you have growing, they're all beautiful.

I have just finished looking at Barbarahs. You both take great photos, they are usually the ones I open first then go back and do the others.

Joy of life is beautiful, so perfect it doesn't look real and the other roses make a lovely display. Hopefully the kooka might catch a few grubs for you. The frangi is very similar to one of mine.

I love the frangi, they're one of my favourite flowers.
We have 3 kookas and 3 magpies at the moment. We look after sick and injured birds. 2 of the kookas and 1 maggie will be with us permanently as they can't be released. They're all in the same aviary and get along fine though they give us quite a lot of laughs with their antics, especially when the youngest maggie harasses the oldest kooka and nearly gets his beak snapped at.

Henry has a Kooka in his vege garden, it sits on a post just waiting for some poor grub or worm to be dug up and then it swoops, not caring if it gives H a nudge on the way, knocked his hat off a few times, but they seem to get on well together.

Hi Marion 90% of my roses are Standards and that is one of them, so I had a look at the label and it read the bush rose will grow 1.2mts High and 900mm Wide. Its a fantastic rose Marion a good one for Qld it produces a continuous supply of clustered blooms I cut those off two days ago and it still has plenty left I just raced outside to take this pic for you. Thats wonderful that you have a Kooka visiting like that, we also have a white one that visits too, but not seen it this year yet.

Jules what a wonderful thing you are doing looking after the birds thats great to hear, and yes I can imagine the antics of some of them as I see that happening every day in my back yard.....MM.

Yes Michelle I did get a new one nearly two months ago but because my bad arm/shoulder is not healing I find it very hard to use as it is a bit on the heavy side so lots of my pics are out of focus just ocasionally I manage to take a pic of a good rose bud. I have not worked out how to use it properly yet maybe one day I will Cheers..MM

MM, have you thought of buying a monopod?
they are easier to carry around than a tripod, also it's a sometimes easier way of carrying the camera.I attach the camera to the monopod and leave it at it's shortest length and just use the monopod to carry the camera. I don't use mine a lot, but when my arthritis is really bad, it comes into it's own.

Lovely MM,the Bee on the rose perfect and the old Kooky causing a ruckus,have my eye on a DMC/LZ2 PANASONIC LUMIN the other camera is still not taking what it should but fairly good. Papa Meilland and Fragrant Clound just came out so beautiful,at least I know all my new ones are flowering well and are ready for the new camera,can blow some of the current ones up,see what happens,keep the good ones rolling in,cheers greencroc.
