more orchid cactus - the whites have started

There look to be a lot of these about to open. Some last more than a day, some have a faint perfume. I picked some for Mum's bedroom last night, better enjoyed indoors than wasted outside. She said it was like floating off to sleep surrounded by water lilies.

They are beautiful I have never thought of picking them not that I have any white ones.

Hello, Jason.....I had a nice orchid cactus plant (bloomed nicely), given to me by a (now deceased) dear friend. The plant died when we moved from Kansas and I'd like to start over with some straps. Don't think I have anything here in Arizona that you'd be interested in, most of my house plants are very generic. If you have an orchid cactus strap to share, I'd be very glad to pay. Love these photos Alison. Does anyone know the name of the one with the cerise ? centre bit ? (cant think of the correct term, pistil? stamen? very rusty brain today) I purchased one at the James Street Toowoomba markets last weekend and would like to know its correct name. Thanks Robyn
