Hello, where are you!!!

Ladies - which I think most of you are, you correspondents/contributers, but gentlemen too: I give up! I thought some keen rosarians, well growers, were concerned/eager to keep this page active. I reckon I've tried to keep it alive, at least in recent times, but when there's no response at all, well, incentive wanes. Watching adds on tv, I HAVE to admit is more encouraging than visiting these (silent) Garden Web pages, that is the Roses forum, and, too, the Aussie natives' page.

Nice while it lasted folks; I'll drop by occasionally.

PS. Maybe I've got B.O.!!

No, Its not you dear heart, it is just the way this site has performed over the past couple of years, it really put people off visiting. I shall only drop by now and again to see Mary-Ann's lovely pictures. I am sure she must have another site where she posts so perhaps when she reads this she will let us know where to go. It is nice knowing there are still some good people around.

I too think that John Cook at Cape Cod Violetry would be a great place to start. I met John when he was vending at the MAAVS convention last November in Fredericksburg, VA, and he is a great guy and his products were very reasonably priced as I recall. Curtis

Why are you so surprised it's me? :) I have friends who live in LA...i think in or around orange county. Her dad grows atemoyas, sugar apple, dragon fruit, sapodilla, and some other tropicals in ground. I heard there is a nursery around there too. I'll ask to see if they know the address. I think you should grow sapodilla...of course if you can find the grafted one. Grow some atemoya and mango too. I was borned in Vietnam too but didn't grow up from there. I did went back a couple times and I love the tropical fruits there. I still have aunts in Vietnam. Wish I can go back and visit Thailand for some fruits.

Well don't make the mistake I did: After careful calculations based on my knee height while seated on the old toilet, I bought a toilet 2" taller and picked a tp holder (Kohler Bancroft) that drops down 3" from the mounting holes. So instead of the roll being about 6" above my knee, the knee rests against it. If I raise the holder up, I'll miss the flat 2 x 4 block I put in the wall to secure it to. So I turned the Bancroft up - it looks a little weird, but only to me, so far. Gary

Susan: chocolate covered strawberries! I call you a *real* friend (LOL) McMann and Sharon: I am in Salt Lake City, zone 5, transported via my job, hating it at first and loving it now. Actually, I should say that *overall* I like it. That's because spring keeps teasing us right now, sending winter in its place. Tomorrow, 70 degrees, then 42 on Sunday. Go figure!
