Janelle, thanks so much...! We only get to about 30-36 here, I'm in the Antelope/Santa Clarita Valley area not San Gabriel (but that's where these photos were taken) so I'm guessing Zephirine wouldn't do as well for me. with the mystery rose, no, I'm not sure it's a polyantha. Some of the roses around it were, so I guessed. Your link to Bouquet Parfait looks a lot like it! That could be! Regardless BP looks like a gorgeous rose! I'll have to do some research on it and see if it would do well for me! The mystery rose they had at the front of a rose bed, so I was hoping to find a floriforous shorter rose to go in the front of some of my beds.

Iron deficiency. Next to the foundation, the pH may be too high, preventing the rose from getting at the iron that is in the soil. Miracid in lieu of other fertilizers has lots of available iron and nitrogen that will help. I would buy some plain sulfur (at the garden center). 1/2 cup per square yard will lower the pH by about 1 point, but it takes a season to work.

Mark, The Grande Amore recently won a prize at the Portland rose garden, so it is likely to be disease resistant in your garden in neighboring Vancouver (Washington, I'm assuming?). Unfortunately, it has only light fragrance, according to the breeder (https://www.kordes.us/plants/grand-amore-eleganza). If you're set on a plant with more fragrance (as I would be), I'd try Firefighter. I am in my second year growing Mister Lincoln in my Seattle-area garden, and I find it gets black spot unless I give it some spray (I use organic sprays when I spray but would prefer not to spend the time and money on any sprays at all). If you're interested in Firefighter but can't find it locally, you can mail/online order a small (but healthy) band-sized pot from Northland Rosarium in Spokane: https://www.northlandrosarium.com/products/firefighter-oraadal. Firefighter supposedly gets 4-6 feet tall in the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks for the input folk. I've been away for a few days, so sorry for the delay in response. I have absolutely no idea what the rose in the photo is. I thought perhaps Paul might know as he helped ID several others I posted over the past couple of weeks. But perhaps he is not on the forum right now with all the problems folk are having. I led an educational rose tour of the Summerland Ornamental Gardens last weekend. It went extremely well and I enjoyed it very much, so I tried to post with photos from the gardens that I took that afternoon, twice! I probably spent 2 hours typing. Both times, the post spooled for a long time after I hit submit and then just both post just disappeared into Cyberspace. I don't often get upset about things like that, but I sent an email to HOUZZ right after the second debacle and never did get a reply other than an automated one. Funny you should you should mention Molineux Ingrid. My old garden is no more, in fact a friend from back east just sent me an update email and mentioned in the message that the gardens are in bad decline. But on the upside, there are three plants of Molineaux blooming lavishly in the English Rose section of my new volunteer garden along with dozens of others. Every time I go for a wander in the garden I find more lost roses. Last weekend, during the tour, we found a lost bush of the Gallica Cristata growing under an alder shrub. That one at least was easy to identify. Two of the ladies on the grounds committee who were on the tour got quite excited about the OGRs that I am finding in the untended areas of the garden. Anyway, if the website begins to function properly again, I will try to post some more images from Summerland. Anne Cecelia, good to hear from you again.
