Is it possible to strike these plants from cuttings. If so, please give me some advice. If not, how do you grow new ones.

I've taken cuttings of the white/yellow (American/Jamaican) varieties. No special technique--whatever you do for general cuttings will work.

Interestingly, I've checked an old reference book and it says that brunfelsias can be propagated 'freely from seed'. Remove the seed from the mature (brown, not green) pod and soak for a few hours to soften the skin, perhaps even overnight. Sow them to twice their depth in seed raising mixture and keep them moist.

So I guess the method you try will depend on what you have available (cuttings or seed).

Funny I have never seen more than one or two seeds on my Brunfelsias yet they flower profusely.
Anyway I am sure that cuttings would work very well. They are in flower round here ar the moment, or just finishing, so now would be as good a time as any.
I'd try a variety of cuttings from hardwood to semi hardwood, and just normal propagation methods I would think.
I'm really loving these large-flowered varieties, the perfumes are fantastic and several flushes of flowers a year.

Hi Bev, I would have thought that someone would have replied before now, but I guess there just are not many that are familiar with collecting seeds from Brunfelsia pauciflora. See the first site that come up on the linked search below. I didn't want to link to the site, since it is to 'that other' place. Hi Kemistry: It should be just fine, especially coming into the warmer more humid months. If there is one plant that can't stand dry air. this one ranks first place. Wow. Hi Hester! So glad you've decided to get one. I know you'll like it despite the orange. If they don't have one left, I will share this one with you, it is plenty big.
