Hello Secretsquirrel007 Sorry for my late response, I need to change my settings so I get notifications! My next response will be faster! Oh thats very interesting & I think the plant is at the age of flowering. Do you have any ideas about why its taking one leaf over 3 months to 'sort of' open and why the plant is generally shrinking and majorly slowing down (its usually flourishing making new leaves every month or so... for the last 9 months its basically been dormant). Im in zone 4. Thanks again : )

Does anyone grow these and know what's going on? It has been producing pups but this seems new. The inner stem is splitting. Could it be more pups? or a flower?

Forgot to mention that my local supermarkets do sell some flowers, but I've never seen them have these flowers. Sam's Club does sell Strelitzia online, but I don't know if they have them at the physical stores too. Then again, I wouldn't need any for me to buy here and ship myself. And the problem with the Sam's Club online thing is that they only sell them in quantities of 50 or 60, and they reserve the right to "substitute" with other flowers. I wouldn't need that many, and I wouldn't want substitutions. Two other places I came across only sell wholesale too, although theirs are slightly lower quantities of 40 stems. A place in Hawaii sells them by the piece, but shipping cost is a mystery, and they haven't responded to email. I've already tried one of the large online flower stores that had a bouquet of Strelitzia advertised, and charged a nice amount, but only sent a couple of old Strelitzia (which they also cut very short) with a bunch of other flowers they took upon themselves to substitute with since they ran out of Strelitzia. Not interested in going that route again, hence I was hoping that someone on here might have ordered these particular flowers online and actually received what they ordered so that I could hopefully do the same.

Why are new leaves on my strelitzia partly wrinkled/bumpy? It's happened on 2 of 3 new leaves from the summer. They have not gone away at all with time. I don't see any pests except some fungus gnats. What do you think this could be?
