If this rose were mine, I'd go ahead and move it now. Our weather has been favorable, and the ground is great for digging. Any time it's moved, it will be set back a bit and probably take a year to recover and regain its former gorgeousness, but you should have good success now. If now isn't convenient, early spring (think St. Patrick's Day) is also a great time. Connie

Annette, Well, I can get you to the genus level, anyway, maybe, with a certain, unspecified degree of certainty. I know others here who will fill it all in for you. Welcome to the forum - stay awhile. #2 - Vareigated Aeonium #3 - Echeveria - there are fanciers of carunculated ones (I'm not one), folks who collect nothing but these kinds of Echs. #4 is a puzzler - I first was going to say it's a Crassula, then I think it's an Adromischus I know that knowing the name is nice, and it's also immensely helpful in growing it, but some plants are really difficult to ID until they're older / mature and/or flower. #2 and #3 will be ID'd before long, if not already. One more think you didn't ask, but may know already - all four of your plants are in the Crassulaceae (Crassula Family), with #1 and 2 (Canary Islands, primarily) and #4 (South Africa) being Old World Cras. and #3 (Mexico originally, but the frilled ones have been extensively hybridized / crossed / culled) being New World. They're a fabulous Family, but just one of very many.

Thanks, everyone. I will try to find the other pics I took. What grew before? Lol! In my mind, I think of this section of the back garden as "The Empty Quarter" or "No Man's Land." for the past few years it has hosted some or all of the following: Latham raspberries that got tangled up with the mostly-now-transplanted 'Heritage' raspberries; bind weed; goldenrod (trying to weed out both); creeping Charlie (trying to remove); mongrelized tall garden phlox (removing this too); misc daylilies (roving these as well); and Jersey Knight aspagarus. The latter I am not harvesting, but trying to let the bed come back. I believe that this plant was the one which has small cream colored (4 to 5?) petals atop a tall (12") stem with chalky lichen green foliage. The foliage is minimal. I will try to find better photos. Is there a New England weed site? Book? I like field guides that have keys. Tall? Yes/No hairy stem? Y/N And so on.

GardenHo's suggestion is perhaps supported by the following: Lower image: there are 4+ short but largely parallel lines on the top part of the leaf which is almost in the centre of the picture. The lines seem to be repeated on the top of a back leaf which is above and to the left of that one. There may also be (scrapes?) on the bottom of the leaf, below and immediately behind the central one. So is it really evidence of trauma!
