Ohh thats wonderful and cottagy, my favourite. I love the garden gate and wall. Almost expect Beatrix Potter to set up her easel and start painting. Very relaxing.

Wow... so beautiful. Clematis are one of the few flowers, in my opinion, where I can look at stock photos and not have to worry about being disappointed. Your blooms are even prettier than the ones the nurseries use.

Yes, a possibility Sherry. The vendor suggested that was one of the possibilities. But I have Melting Fire and mine is green on the top of the leaf right now, is not in bloom and has hairy leaf stems. Maybe the two I have were mislabelled? Here are my Melting Fires.See the fuzzier leaf stems in the second pic. My NOID has very smooth leaf stems and the colour on top of the leaf is the same as on the back. I wish there were some books or a web site you could go to for help. I have a book but the descriptions are brief as are the descriptions on most websites. I have been looking for Melting Fire at garden centres to at least see if the leaf stems are truly fuzzy but can't find it in my area.

You're well and truly hooked aren't you? Nice plant btw, can I ask out of curiosity, and for comparison....what kind of prices are these in Jamaica? I've only ever seen a couple for sale here in the UK at over £20 each, maybe 8inch high plants max. :-/ Gill Edit...that's about 3303JMD

What is an active ingredient in this spray? Everything kills thrips - if you hit them on the body... but eggs, thrips that made their way into buds, thrips larva that lives in soil - one stage of their growth they spend in soil - may be in cocoon... that;s why you rtreat the plant 3 times week apart - so you nail anything emerging. Or systemic - Like Avid - it will stay in tissue for a month... I.
