Hi Guys,

New to gardening. I've propagated about 70 seeds & they're about two weeks old. They have their cotyledons & some have their first true leaves. They are only about 1 inch tall.

Unfortunately some of them have developed yellow/white centres on their leaves. I'm wondering if i'm over watering them?

I used a good seed raising mix which brought the Chilli seeds up in a matter of days. The other seedlings look perfectly healthy.

I initially had 10 seeds in each cell of a 24 cell seed tray. When they developed their cotyledons I transplated them from the community pot into individual seed tray cells. Very few seedlings died, they were suprisingly happy to be moved.

I filled the seed trays with seed raising mix & watered them through well. Maybe too well? I now spray the seed trays about 3-4 times a day with a spray bottle to keep them moist.

Should I restrict watering to morning/afternoon only? They are positioned under a semi-transparent pagola so they don't receive direct sunlight and seem to be quite happy where they are.

Would like to hear your thoughts on the yellowing of the seed leaves. Thanks in advance.
