I shovel pruned mine last spring. It is a pretty yellow and the blooms lasted average amount of time. The Japanese Beatles loved it and it was prone to BS even with spraying. After 2 or 3 growing seasons it was OK, but no "WOW" until fall.

The name is a mystery because there is quite a bit of info. to be found if you google Potinara Eye Candy. Doesn't matter all that much except if you received an AOS award it would not be recognised unless someone paid Ten pounds to register the name.....a bit difficult when the breeding details are unknown. Holiday Eye Candy was registered by Carter & Holmes in 2012 and it is doubtful that it is related to your orchid.

It sure looks healthy!! Please post pics when it blooms!!! laura

Hi Christopher nice Is the whole plant yellow or just one branch. I find the yellow and white branches add to the overall plants appeal. Richard
