I have a friend who sold stems of Johnson Grass at the Farmer's Market in her cut flowers. She ran out of blooms in her garden so she picked wild flowers and grasses. LOL. There is always someone willing to buy anything. You could probably get 50 cents a piece for those.

Yesterday I cut the top 10" or so off each one of mine because they were already 2'+. I then stuck all the pieces I trimmed into some turned soil and mulched. For good measure I dipped the end of each cutting into rooting hormone but it's not really necessary. I just felt conventional. So now the originals ones won't flop over and will bush out more and I get a whole bunch of new plants. Keep them watered and give some miracle grow once in awhile. I also mulched well.

@aakajx, thanks for asking! I like my Gymonocalycium the most because he's the little guy who started my love for cacti and succulents. When he bloomed I was taken by surprise and fell in love! Here he is now: Next I like my Crassula Ovata "Gollum" because he's my only succulent with tree-like branches: Last but not the least is my Portulacaria Afra Variegata. Why? Because it's my first Variegata. She may be common but because of her I learned about variegated plants: There!! UPDATE photo on my Bougainvilleas.. Just two days of sun and look at them bloom anew! The rightmost pot has white flowers. He's a bit late to the party but I'm sure he's perfectly fine and will flower soon again!

Thanks! I bought it and planted it the day before yesterday. It is grouped with a small gold (Prairie Moon: smooth, narrow leaves) and a June. So I am hoping for a good color contrast plus leaf shape contrast. I have other small blues (Halcyon maybe’s – that I wasn’t sure were actually Halcyon, so I moved to this bed) nearby so I wanted something a little different as to shape, but still blue. My only hesitation is this area is more moist than anything else I have. Water drains into this area on the way to the storm sewer. I have never planted a hosta here before. The June is a little upslope. Solomon’s Seal and a few other woodland plants like ferns are doing fine.
