That is wonderful!! You must be very excited! No sign of any buds here yet. Sorry if you already told us the name above and I forgot and am too lazy to read it all again, is it B. suaveolens? I don't know the species/hybrid/cultivars well at all, just that it's similar in color to mine, which is supposed to be B. suaveolens. I LOVE the scent of mine. I took this pic yesterday of my oldest plant. It's close to 5 feet tall. Amazing that it can grow so fast! Just a couple months ago, there was nothing and all of this has grow up from the ground since then. The stump sticking up in the middle is what is left from last year, where I stopped cutting off chunks before frost hit. The chunks that I cut off stayed in jugs of water for a few months and when it was safe outside again, I put a few of them in the big pot below. This pic is from about a week ago. I may have been overly ambitious about how many plants I put in this pot. This could end up blowing down the street in a strong wind soon. The pot is huge, but it's very lightweight "faux" ceramic. Time to scrounge up some rebars to pound in the ground around it to brace it. It looked puny & scraggly on 5/1. 3 more of the chunks are here by my she-shed, this pic also from last weekend: This has been in this pot for about 3-4 yrs, also started from a chunk kept in water over the previous winter. This could be the year when "enough" is achieved. Not all of my individuals are included here. I should have at least 30 chunks of about 3 foot length to find a place to keep over winter, many more than that if I go with smaller sizes. .

I couldn't find a way to send you a private message and when I originally searched for Brugmansia, I saw that you had a PLETHORA os awesome information. Thank you! SO, in response to your amazing message 💜 , LOTS of places do not sell to CA per their state restrictions and also them not getting the additional licensing required to sell here, and the places that do, I already have those kinds. I am still looking for more as I am totally addicted. There is a fantastic seed bank but unfortunately, I have totally sucked at planting their seeds. I am going to try again and see if I can get the hang of it. I'd like to think I am pretty darn good at seedlings, but alas, not for the Brug! YET! I am happy to hear you have found some beauties with non-toxic plants. I think I'm going to have to look into these!! What types of non-toxic pest reppelantdfo you use for your beauties on your land (per your other post)? THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
