Can someone identify this flower ?

This flower is from a small tree in North Queensland so may be a tropical plant, hope someone is able to identify it for me,

It's Lophanthera lactescens. Beautiful, isn't it.

That particular one is one of the Lace Cap Hydrangeas. If you want to grow them they are widely available in many varieties. But be warned. In many parts of the UK the flowers will not be blue like that but a muddy pink. You need acid soil to get that colour.

You got the "common name" right in your picture tag, Yvonne.

It is called "Golden Chain" but when you mention that most people think of Laburnum or Cassia fistula.
