Thanks, I can't believe it stayed around long enough for me to run in the house and get my camera! Mine is over 6' tall now, but the flower spike it's on is near the ground. Don't think how tall it is matters, though it visited every one on the bush:) I put the first pic on to show on the shadow side on the left how vivid the yellow of the wings were underneath. It was the same on top just this was full sun. It only had one wing tip on the left side also. Doesn't show up well against the back ground. I've had white moth like butterflies for a few weeks now, this is the first I've really seen of anything else. Leslie

My verbena b. is a little too happy. I'll try to remember to take a photo from a distance so you can see how much it's spread. It blooms forever though and comes up thickly enough that I don't have to weed it. Thanks for the info on the pink moth Helen. This is the first year I've spotted the moth but I think they've been around for at least three or four years if it's the same one that's eating the buds in larval stage. They're tiny. I would'nt mind if they ate just the few leaves but they only like the flower buds and do enough damage to keep the plant from blooming for awhile.

I have just installed verde butterfly in my major kitchen remodel and everyone including all my subs has commented on how beautiful my kitchen turned out. I have KraftMaid cabinets in autumn blush which are in between a light and dark finish and this was the only granite that I fell in love with the moment I saw it. It just tied the whole room together while giving it some contrast. As far as keeping it clean, I have not noticed any finger prints whatsoever, but I do see water standing where I have splashed which is no different than any other counter material I have had in the past. The fabricator is giving you a snow job, get another one. There are alot of so called fabricators out there that do not know what they are doing. I suspect he wants you to buy a more costly piece of granite, as times are getting tougher for people. I love love love mine. I say go for it!

When I first saw all the other gorgeous entries I felt a little like my green caterpillar surrounded by all the beautiful butterflies! I love all the interpretations and everyone did an amazing job! I'm so honored just to be in this group and thank you Marti for coming up with such a fun idea that really brought out a lot of creativity and individuality from everyone.
