I SP'd Love Potion and kept Simply Marvelous. I grew them right next to each other and thought they looked quite similar. Except that SM had more vigor and bloomed more too. Angel Face is also in the same bed. AF is shorter and has frilly blooms. It grows well here and gets sprayed with the rest. I think its important to consider the difference between California rose growing and the mid Atlantic states while reading these posts.

Just a suggestion...I've grown Angel Face roses for over 20 years in southern Nevada and northern California. They love lots of morning sun and don't like to go to bed wet! Water early in the morning if possible. Most importantly I would suggest carefully digging up your plant, re-digging the hole and fill it with fresh peat moss/potting soil. (what if a neighbor cat or your dog is doing their business too close to the plant?) Make sure you cut away all bad leaves and dying buds as soon as you see them and put them in the trash as far away from the plant as possible. I got so many blooms from roses in so. NV each month you would have to seen it to believe me. Those were the best as they had all day sun. My CA roses didn't get the early morning sun and it was a struggle to get them to all grow evenly and get 10% of the buds I got with my roses in so. NV. You don't want to put it in a smaller pot if you want it to catch up to your others. I also douse my plants with nitrogen and my roses love miracle grow. My iris's are chest high and I over watered them too. Good luck!

WOW!!! That Angel Face is just gorgeous.I dearly love this rose.I had 2 and lost one during the winter, and th eother one has a few little buds. Joesph Coat is gorgeous too.Your roses are always beautiful and healthy looking. My roses was covered with Alphids too, eating up the buds and I have them tiny green worms eating up the leaves on them.I have been going out about 6 times a day getting them worms off the plants, and I had a little organic spray I used on the Aphids and got rid of m ost of them. Can't wait to see some more photos.Sorry you was sick witht he flu and hope you are over it now and start feeling better. Jean

I have Duet that doesn't leak. However, I think I do know the usual culprits. Easier if you can say where on the floor underneath you see the puddle. Did the service man run a load or just look at it? Did he open the pump-filter and look at it? Not sure what you meant by saying "he couldn't find any reason for it to be leaking."" That lower panel underneath the door of the machine is held on by three screws. Once you remove it, you'll be able to see all around in there. First thing I would do is put a towel down underneath the white plastic drain filter and then screw off its cover. (Towel will catch about a pint of water that spills out.) Of course if there's anything in there, do remove it. But what I really want you to do is notice how easily that cover comes off (you should have to work at it a little...if it's loose, it certainly will leak) and look at the o-ring seal on the cap and see if its been twisted or damaged. After that, I would dry everything and then leave the panel off. The next time you run the machine, look in there and notice where the puddle is forming. That will lead you to the next place to look....which I'll bet will be one of the internal hose connections. In any event, I'd wager the problem will be easy to find and easy to fix. There aren't that many places for the leak to come from. Since you say it "runs out on the floor", I'd be betting on that drain filter.
