Show me your dog - or cat

In the old days, we used to know what everyone's dogs looked like. Remember this is a gallery to show everything you want us to see, I'd love to see your dog, or cat come to that. How about it? In this shot it looks like Oz is daring me to take her picture. I think it is cute.

Aren't they just the most beautiful things, but why is Scooby in a cage? He looks so full of mischief. Thanks for showing them.

Our house cats don't seem to eat any more in the winter, but then we make sure the house is nice and warm for us and they do not go outside at all. But the barn cats sure do seem to eat more when the weather turns cold. (Nights have been down to about 35 degrees and days have been in the upper 40's to mid 50's.) The dogs, who spend most of their time outside also seem to eat more this time of year! And we do give the barn cats and the dogs more food when it is cold. I figure if they have this "want" for it, obviously, their bodies must need it when it is colder. Don't know if that helps or not. I know I want to eat more when it is colder---even with the house being warm!!

Janetaz, you might also find these handy. We had them around for my father-in-law, who was bed-bound, and they looked like just what we needed for certain of our dogs who had problems with peeing inside, too. I ended up buying a whole set just for the dogs. The front-loader washer we have sanitizes them well and we can save money in the long run, compared to buying the paper ones that want to blow all over in the slightest breeze. Toby is our older boy, at 13, he started peeing in the bathroom recently, so we always keep a pad in there. Casey has a brain tumor and sometimes has problems with needing to pee while we are a away, too. I was home from work sick for a few weeks. I returned last Monday and came home to find pee in two places. So we put the pads down. No one peed again this week, but at least we had the areas covered! Black cats...... Here's one at a horse show my wife was riding in back in October. and here's a different one that showed up at the lake cabin we rented back in July. The previous renters left a couple of cans of tuna with a note saying to give it to the cat.

Some of our too-many horses. For a long time we've had a young chestnut mare and an ancient, long-since-retired pasture-buddy mare. However about a month ago my wife decided to move the young horse to a nearby riding facility so she could train and ride it more regularly. That left the old mare alone and lonely, so she asked around, and we got the above two for pasture board. Then a friend moved back to town, and needed somewhere to keep her one of her horses, and just after that the young chestnut mare got a cold, and the barn owner asked us to move it home so the other horses didn't get sick. It was sort-of working with two horses in the front pasture, two in the new back pasture, and the sick horse isolated in the paddock in between, but then one of the horses above figured out how to get out of the back pasture making things even more of a problem.

This was my wonderful Rhodesian Ridgeback Sananga Amistymorn taken 20 years ago.

Always known as Misty I had just under 10 years of love and devotion with my wonderful pet..

Only a tiny photo though on this laptop.

What a magnificent face, I love his eyelashes. Oh goodness, what a trauma we are going to face when we lose our darling Ozzie.

I have one of those little flower things Chas and it drives me nuts, but yours looks cute using Penny as the face

Yes Tricia we have the photo and the actual toy in the window,and it looks as though the wings in the photo are flapping as well!! a nic optical illusion.Two days ago I managed to get a shot at a rainbow-early a.m.and had a bit of fun. Still waiting for more action from the bulbs although the rose cuttins are looking good.

What a great bit of fun to do that Chas. Well done and thanks for the giggle. Lovely lot of green shoots coming on the roses, but hardly any daffodils this year, plenty of earlycheer though and our Daphne is stupendous.
