Pale yellow- Hibisicus Dark/orangeish yellow- Marigolds! How about adding one for deep yellow? This would be the black-eyed susan...the one that grows upright, not the vining one. It's actually the Maryland State Flower. I've seen the most beautiful beds of them along the roadside traveling to the Eastern Shore. Breathtaking!!!!!

Ficus are a long-time favorite of mine. I have successfully germinated nine Ficus religiosa seeds and am loving watching them grow!! A stunning plant with an amazing history. I also enjoy the many, many cultivars of Ficus benjamina. Philodendrons are also a favorite (hence my user name). None specific, I love all of them - vining, self-heading. Still have lots on my wanted list, but I need a bigger house first!! For the great outdoors here in Missouri, coleus are amazing. So many colors and patterns. Can anyone not love them?

Chocolate aside, mostly I will be weeding, transplanting and tidying up the garden in general. it has been too hot up until now to do much gardening except for early in the mornings, so I am looking forward to the cooler autumn weather. I must also get a pile of bark in to redo the paths between my garden beds. We just lifted the weedmat and all the well rooted weeds that had grown through it, and I will be putting thick layers of newspaper under the bark. instead of the weedmat. Like GH, I will be Spring (er autumn) cleaning, having started on the huge job of tidying the second spare bedroom, and going through storage boxes that haven't been touched for some years. A few trips to the opshop post autumn no doubt. We are taking a hard earnt and desperately needed luxury weekend at the Goldcoast this coming weekend, before easter. We have been promising ourselves this for 6 months, and it is instead of the much hoped for NZ trip which would have been 10 days worth - certainly something to lookforward to after 15 years without more than a long weekend break from work. Maybe we will manage that next Autumn :-) So I guess you could say that the Gold Coast weekend is our real easter break. Whilst there we will be visiting relatives, walking on the beach, dining out, and greeting 3 new tiny additions to the family, a great nephew, and his 2 new little step cousins from 2 other families. What fun! :-)

Love them all, sadly my orange ixora died when I HAD to move it to make way for my Arch. And while sitting in the car today while hubby was filling up the tank on the road side at the front of the service station there was mass planting of Pink Ixora all in bloom magnificent it was. And I can just imageine how yours look, do they grow by cuttings I may ask if I can take some. Your Native Tibouchina is very pretty, as is the red frangipani., the Christmas Lily looks great too. A lovely lot of flowers...Cheers..MM.
