DA roses and long canes - help

Sorry if this has been posted before, but am fairly new to the forum, so here goes.

I have a number of DA roses in my garden, which are driving me crazy. Most have been in for 5-6 years, and all have prospered. Abraham Darby, The Squire, Othello and Golden Celebration are all great.

The others (Eglantyne, Claire, Leander, occasionally Golden Celebration as well) insist on throwing really long canes (they have been up to 3 metres!) withou flowering, or they might have a tiny flower right on the end. It is terribly frustrating to have such a healthy looking plant, but few flowers.

They are all in the same garden bed thus receive the same amount of light, water, fertiliser, etc and live in compost/soil over clay.

Is there anything I can do about this problem? Are there particular DA roses I should avoid in the future? Help!!!
