Frank: Basically those have been the inside temperatures the last 6 wks whenever the sun has been out regardless of the outside temp. During Jan thru March I held high temperatures in the 80s. We have very low dew points except during the rainy season which is July thru Sept. Even then the dew points are in the 60s. We almost never reach a dew point of 70 like is common near the Gulf. Thus my evaporative cooler is pretty effective all summer. The evap cooler is more effective than two additional 36 inch fans. The cooler with one fan will hold the temp as low as 3 fans without the cooler. I have not watered the soil within 6ft of the grapes for two yrs. Still they won't slow down. The roots probably run outside as well. But I seldom water outside and we have had about 1.6 inches rain in 8 months. The Fruitnut

I have grown both sweet 100 and sweet million and while they are generally good varieties, they are nothing to write home to mom about. The most amazing flavor I've ever tasted in a cherry size tomato is Purple Haze which Keith (who posted all the varieties and pics above) developed. This is the only tomato I've ever tasted that I ranked as a 10 on a 0 to 10 scale. Very close runners up are a select strain of Dr. Carolyn Pink and close behind that is Galina. I have several new varieties to grow this year among which at least one should be a new favorite. I am hoping to find a really good red variety. We all have flavor preferences. Some want a strong tomato flavor, others want a very sweet fruit, and others want balanced flavor and sweetness. I am in the last group wanting a tomato that combines a huge flavor profile with a decent amount of sweetness. Some tomatoes are too sweet for me. Sungold is one that can get too sweet. DarJones

I'm fighting it in my yard, thanks to my old neighbors and the birds, and it sure looks like porcelain berry to me. Get rid of it ASAP or you and your neighbors are going to be in my shoes - it will take over.

As Momj47 mentioned, use a grape juice you like. I happened to use Welch's, because that's what my girls like. Most times it turned out fine, but one time I got the tartaric crystals and was a bit surprised when I opened that jar. As I mentioned, they aren't harmful, but it'll not be what you expected. Now, I've made jelly using canned juice a dozen times or so, and only got crystals once, but I've never gotten them using fresh grapes. Which is not to say it can't happen, I guess, and is dependent on actually finding fresh grapes. Annie
