I'm hoping someone can ID a rose without a photo. It's a single, white flower literally the size of a saucer. The stamens are prominent and the scent is evident, though not strong. Can anyone help with a name?

If the leaves are different from your average rose - if they are rough and rather wrinkled looking - and the stems are seriously thorny, you may have Rosa rugosa alba.

What about Nevada? Pic at site below.

Mine has never prospered, but I do love the few flowers when they come. It has long canes and the flowers appear all along them. It dates from the 1930s I think.

I wonder if this one is molting. I agree, Fori, jumping spiders are extremely cute and have personalities, too. Whenever I find one in the home, I let it alone. Years ago, one lived under the keyboard of my desk top computer. It would come out every time I used the computer to ”play”.

looks like epilobium parviflorum ... but I am more certain what it isn'.t..not angustifolium or hirsutum (I have both of them on my woodland edges). Many, many times, I have been caught out by the handsome rosette...and have nurtured them for far too long before realisation sets in. Easily pulled...it's the seeds which are a nuisance.
