establishing young plants in the cold

Hi

I've planted a couple of shrubs/small trees in my garden and the weather has turned a little chilly here. My question is how much water do they need to establish as I have really cut back on watering the established garden by now. The plants in question are two small gossamer wattles, some westringa and prostanthera and a chinese star jasmine.

My soil is sandy and very well drained. I'm in Sydney and the temps are about 15 - 18 degrees and of course it's been really dry. I usually water every day for a while to keep the roots moist, but in this weather is that a good idea?

thanks

Andrea
