It is normal for an established parch to not send out runners. If your patch is healthy this year, it will likely produce well again next year. Perhaps next spring you might consider starting some more for the following year. Are those Seascape berries? I tried some here, but they were not well suited for the usual patch here...many froze out. June [actually May] bearers do much better for me. My newer Earliglows had huge ones like that.

aggie,that word is just short for application. You download it,then an icon appears on whatever it is you have..IPhone,IPad or whatever. You just click on it and then a site pops up. Some of them I can't figure out. For instance,on my IPad,if I wanted to,I could have downloaded and "app" for the New York Times" but why would I go to the trouble? All I did was go to the Times sight and put my own icon on the screen. Some of that "app" stuff is silly..some of it isn't. If I were in a crowd and needed a bathroom pronto..how neat to haul out an IPhone ( which I don't have) and find one in a mini second. How are you doing?

After the initial jaw dropping SHOCK, I cannot help myself sometimes from hysterical laughter at those wierdos and their strange addictions. On one of them a man was in love with his car and would "make love" to it...I laughed till my sides hurt at him when he crawled underneath that dang car...Oh my, our society has gone NUTS!!!!!! And me along with them for looking at that stupid show..I have deleted it from comming on automatically though...some of it has to be made up...nobody is THAT WIERD on some of them...RIGHT????

Well, for 'normal'--county jury--around here, you can expect to be called pretty much every 2 years (couldn't even tell you how many times I've been summoned for that--but at least a dozen times). Beings as I said, our county includes the most violent city in the country, the county court system is pretty busy. For that, I know they use the voter registrations, licenses and car registrations for the jury pool. You only have to serve there every 2 years. Of course, I'm speaking about the 'old' county--I don't think it's quite as active at the new place. I'm not sure how they pull the jurors for the federal system. There, too, you only have to serve if it's more than 2 years since your last summons--which it is for me. Not sure if the moving plays into that. I simply have never ever heard of ANYONE in my area getting a federal summons, so it's not THAT common, I don't think. The federal courts cover many counties, so I surely wouldn't be the only one being inconvenienced by a 40 mile drive, I guess. Oh, and serving on regular jury has nothing to do with federal, so you can't get off of federal just because you served last month at the county level. Well, we'll see. Of course, being a newspaper stringer, I think it's unlikely I'd be seated on most juries, anyway.
