Question: I noticed on your yellow-rumped warbler that he seems to be sitting on a deck rail (?). I am wondering what you've got there that lured him so close. My warblers are extremely shy and stay deep in the bushes/trees. Thanks!

Did you only go to Hobart? Did you go on the Cadbury's tour with the kids? This time the wind was blowing the wrong way but last time we went we could smell the factory before we could see it. I wonder if anyone has ever done a survey to find out whether the people living nearby eat more chocolate or less chocolate than average. Did you get up Mount Wellington? Incredible to be walking round the city streets in lovely spring weather in the morning and playing in snow high above the city in the afternoon.

Yes, so I hear! Call me crazy, but I bought it for that very fact, lol! It's a beauty of a hosta with terrific substance and colouring and what makes this one so interesting is its reversion.....no uniformity in pattern/variegation in leaves - makes for one interesting hosta. Can't wait for spring to see how it will look next growing season. :)
