Mystery Plant help please

Hi, As you can see I am from the Northwest (Karratha)in Australia. I have found a little vine that has sprouted in one of my pot plants but I have no idea what it is. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Its leaves look a bit like a 3 leaf clover but about four times the size (at the moment) anthe top leaf is twice the size of the two lower leaves, it is also a climber or vine, twining its self around another plant as it grows. It is a green about the same colour as mint or basil. It is strange for something to pop up at this time of year when it is normally very hot. Hope some one can help. Thanks

Is there ANY chance of a photo? Rather hard to guess when its so small. I'm thinking from the 3-leaf bit that its some kind of pea/legume which might be a native but could be wrong.

Usually a "pop-up" is either a seed carried on the wind or dropped by a bird etc, or a seed latent in the potting mix - if it was re-cycled at your place, or if it fell into the potplant before you bought it.

Interesting anyway let us know if you can tell more or show it.

In 07 I had identical seedlings around my house, they were all from my Natchez Crape Myrtle. That was another year that we got so much rain and Lake Travis flooded, all of the ramps were closed because you couldn't see the If it isn't I will be surprised Hi Annie, we had the Hercules club at the old place also and I have cut my hand many a time thinking they were CM and tried to rip them out I was just reminded that the suckers sometimes looked like that just not as wide. Try posting this on the Name That Plant forum - there's some pretty sharp cookies that frequent that forum and you should get a potential ID lickety-spllt. I know enough to confirm it is NOT wisteria :-) btw, you may not want to attempt wisteria from seed. It takes a very long time - 10-20 years - for seed grown wisteria to bloom. Look for grafted plants at the nursery.

This is a North American native plant. In the right place, like at the back of a border, it is absolutely stunning. It is a good wildlife plant -- birds were how this it was probably planted to begin with.
