I do that too Joe, I also put it in the compost bin, not much else you can use it for

Hi Brother Joe,
I usually use mine to fill in depressions in the lawn or topping up areas of garden bed that may be a bit low for one reason or another. If not I chuck it in the compost bin. I would never ever throw it away...after all we paid good money for it didn't we!!

yep use it in the garden or any of the above suggested ways me becuase i need to be frugle i re-use mine to plant into pots with quiet often mix it with a fresher bag, but i gotta use what i've got available. haven't had any problems only thing it can mess me up a bit if there are earthworms in the old pot, but generally that goes to the garden.

I put it in a garden if it is still good or in the compost when it is much older.
If the plant in it dies from a fungus or something like too many aphids or such I am very careful where I put it, often it goes in the garbage pile just in case .

Thanks everyone for your feedback, looks like the compost bin is the way to go, or the garden bed. (usually I'm moving the plant to a bigger pot)so I think the mix is still OK.
I must aggree with you too "deejaus" we pay good money for the stuff. I'd hate to see it go to waste.

I reuse mine in the bottom of large pots I also mix it with compost & dynamic lifter & reuse it but I would not use it if a plant died in it I just toss that lot under well grown trees

I do much the same, keep and refresh if it is not too old I always check first as it's not the first time I have emptied a pot into the box and found a plant!! Recently I found a good Paradisea crown which I sowed 3 years ago from seed,chucked in the frig a couple of time with no aparent result, and a Begonia tuber which decided to sprout!!
But any sus mix gets tossed in the bin bag.
