That is one HUGE seed pod! Cute donkey.....I can really picture him with some succulents growing out and over the sides of his baskets. Very nice looking Plumeria.

Another great lot of photos. Love Pedro. One suggestion is to have some plants (annual and succulents, etc) in pots that would fit in Pedro's baskets so you could swap around when you get tired of one or to suit the season - succulents in summer and annuals in winter - less watering needed.

I am green with envy, Pedro is so beautiful, there are some wonderfull hanging succulents round.
The yellow Franni looks good, hope it is true for you as they really stand out.

Lovely donkey, everything at your place looks good. The yellow Frangi will be beautiful hope you find the perfect spot. Yes the Steph pods are a shock when you first see them, like an avocado. They can take up to a year to ripen, but if you have the patience, will provide lots of seed.
Can we come back for a visit once Pedro is planted?

Yes it is a cutie we have had our eye on him for a couple of years but have not been to the market for about a year, the guy was selling all his products for 20% off then he took it to the nearest $0 so cheaper again. Pedro is a metre tall and so heavy. Hubby wants to paint him grey, shock horror I like him the colour he is as he sits well on the orange pebbles..I still have not found the right spot for him, it will come.

Yes GH I will do as you say for his basket seeing they said on the news tonight we will have to water all of our garden with a bucket, gosh that is going to be hard, its such a big garden and they are not all natives.

MM he is so cute, I agree leave him that sand colour, I agree with GH says about swapping plants as permanent ones become very tired in small containers, your seed sure is big it looks like a Fegoa fruit

I too have one the same size--my first one ever!! seems like there'll be a surplus of stephanotis seeds for exchange.. incidentally, does anyone know the name of a similar vine with the same huge seedpod, but had similar pink highly scented flowers and longer leaves.. i'm told it was a pest plant?? it used to grow wild in my previous rural home .

thks, but no, it wasnt a rubbervine.. it was only smallish like the stephanotis and just as attractive.. Back in the very dim past, we used to play 'Tarzan', using rubber vines to swing across dry gullies and creekbeds outside of Rockhampton.
