Looking for thes plants

Can anyone give me sources for any of the following plants please, preferably southern Queensland, but mail order would be fine elsewhere.

1. Furcraea foetida ÂMediopictaÂ

2. Tacca leontopetaloides

3. Red-stemmed Canna (Thalia)

I had some seeds of Tacca leontopetaloides lying around, must try and find them. Will let you know .

You asked about favorites. There are numerous Chinese Evergreen/Aglaonemas around..Some with dark red, orange and silver leaves. Examples: All three are in north windows, year round. Someone suggested Spider Plants. Good idea. They come in colors, other than green. Green edge-white center, white edge-green center, some have curly leaves/Bonnie. Another is called Fire Flash, green with orange center. Walmart gets these in every so often. Marantas/Calatheas, like Prayer Plants.. Philodendrons, Begonias. If you're looking for a truly inexpensive Begonia..Go to your garden center/store and purchase a Wax Begonia. They're probably half price by now..leaves are light green, medium green or purple..they bloom year round. Some African Violets do fine in north... Dracaena, 'Song of India,' especially the slightly variegated Song. Cast Iron/Aspidistra. Sansevierias. Pothos. First of all, according to various people, you may want to reconsider keeping your catfish and pond fish together. I posted a link below - or you can do a search yourself on the subject. In our pond in Upstate NY (similar in zone to you), I remove all my tropical plants in early October. We cut back our hardy water lilies which are planted directly in the pond and drop to the bottom the other hardy plants. Our pond is 3 feet deep and approx. 3,000 gallons so the fish overwinter in the pond. I don't know what you should do with a pond that small. We purchased a plastic 100 gallon tub at Country Max for our tropical plants, and I think that would work well for your fish if you decide to bring them indoors. You would have to add a pump or air stone for aeration and something for filtration. My husband altered the "plug" with a faucet and we can drain it pretty easily with a garden hose into our basement sewer come spring. Here is a link that might be useful: catfish in a pond

Pam The thalia is available at waterlily acres at Canungra They have a web site (waterlily acres) do mail order and have it in 3 sizes, tube size is $5. It seems that this place is for sale though due to illhealth so dont dally about ordering.
Alternately I have seeds on my red thalia as a back up (- just not sure how to tell if they are ripe

The outer covering holding the seed will die off when the seeds are ripe.

I have seen Furcraea foetida 'Mediopicta' for sale at Canelands Nursery at Hervey Bay some time ago. Don't know if they still have any but I know they weren't cheap.
I just recently (2 weeks ago) disposed of my last spare Furcraea to a friend of mine here in Bundy but if I see any around this area I will let you know.

Have found furcraea, at a considerably better price than I was expecting (will still have to save up though lol) and have gotten the red-stemmed canna on Ebay and I finally found the Carphalea I've been trying to get for the past 18 months. One very happy gardener here! :)
