Cheers Edwin, what would we do without you...and yes, the 'Brentmoor B;onde' is a difficult plant, it's very thin branched and leggy, plus it can and does burn some summers and can look a right mess some years, but when it's good. it's outstanding. Dax, There's a bit of confusion with my 'Bor' now, since you posted the link to the Tomszak site, I checked the photo they have of 'Bor' there. Looks completely different to my plant...The strange thing is I cut away a lot of foliage from the base of my plant thinking it was bits of understock, and the foliage I removed looks very much like the foliage from the pic on the Tomszak plant, I had a problem knowing what was what, because I could not clearly see the graft union. Now I'm wondering if what I have left is a witches' broom that was growing in the center of the plant

Awww.. look at that cute baby! She looks like a pup, not 12! Alright, well maybe the grey on her muzzle gives it a way a wee bit, but only because I know what I am looking for! :o) Oh, yeah, the flowers! Lovely photos... I am REALLY diggin' Metaphysical Moment! I keep meaning to put more Lambertsons in my garden, but $$ only goes so far! Maybe now that my plants are getting big, I can start trading, won't that be fun!

maryl;The daylilies were packaged roots I got 2 years ago and planted.They have done real good. There was 3 roots to a package,and I must have bought two of them as I have 5 or 6 miunds of them.The stella;s I have were potted ones from wal mart. patricia43; Belinda IS in the ground.That is some of that rubber border stuff I have around it.My daughter pays some one to keep my grass cut,and I have to put a border around them so they don't get cut up with a weedeater. Carol,I have not seen Distant Drums show this much pink either,The bloons that opened today has very little pink and alot of the purple tint. Jean

Thanks for the comments. Also, I was wrong about the crab shells being gone already. There are some in the photos if you look closely. marauder - it's been about 6 weeks since I last did this type of maintenance. Things decompose much more quickly during the summer, but it's been in the 50s around here lately.
