Hi They should have their leaves by now, mine get their leaves in the spring and are covered in flowers now. I see you are from SA was it cold where you are in the Spring that could be retarding it. Have you been watering it too much. Is it showing any signs of leaf bud swell at all like this pic below.

If not then it could have rotted, that cutting above has been laying on my outside potting bench shelf undercover since February and as you can see it has sprouted leaves just laying there. Hope this helps...Cheers...MM.

It has just started getting a couple of leaves in the last couple of weeks. Mine is just a single stick with a couple of leaves on the top. When do they grow branches? I bought this one at a fete 2 years ago. Each year it has just had a couple of leaves. The stick is about 40 centimetres tall.

Frangis like full sun and good drainage and thrive on neglect. Water only when dry less in winter. If it has been cool down your way that may be slowing it down. If the conditions are right, frangis are a moderately fast grower.

Thanks Goldhills. It is in full sun. I dont water that much but have a few times lately during the 40 degree heat. I will try to neglect it more :-).

Would cow manure help at all?
