HU-120274311 I wouldn't worry about the fact that the dandelions went to seed. There are seeds everywhere, whether they come from your lawn or a lawn half a mile away. An interesting fact is that the best time to kill dandelions is after they have gone to seed. The plant expends so much energy producing the seedhead that it is left weaker and more vulnerable to the herbicide. Also, many spring dandelion blooms can be avoided by using a herbicide in the fall to kill off the dandelions actively growing in the lawn at that time which will prevent them from being around to bloom in the spring.

I have decided to dig it up and move it. The dandelions roots and top growth are growing up through the middle of it so there is no way to smother it or pluck it out with a weed popper. It was a mis-named item that I bought at Wal-mart many years ago and this year I am going to take a picture of the flowers to see if I can identify it. It is a vitacella and a flower machine so I do not want to lose it. I transplanted it last year to where it is now and it done awesome and I got 2 long bloom periods so I will move it again and go through the roots and pull out the dandelions. What really iritates me to no end is I spend alot of money on my yard to keep it weed free and nice and my lovely neighbors let them weeds grow and flower, and to keep them out of my yard, I litteraly have to go over into their yard and weed when they are not home. Or when they go out there with a lawn mower once a month, millions of those seeds fly everywhere. They are lazy and I am glad they are moving.

DuPont de Nemours & DD -3.72% is considering recalling and discontinuing the sale of its popular weed-killer Imprelis due to complaints that it can kill trees, according to the Environmental Protection Agency's website on Thursday. In a letter to DuPont dated Aug. 3, the agency acknowledged that DuPont was considering removing the product from the market. The letter also informed DuPont that the EPA was concerned that the company has claimed that certain toxicity studies for Imprelis should not be made public because they are "confidential business information." The EPA said it believes it is in the public interest that the information be released. In a second letter, also dated Aug. 3, the agency informed DuPont it also believes Imprelis' labeling is inadequate in advising of the product's potential risk to large plants such as trees

So if someone is dying of an infection or cancer, they should not use a potentially toxic antibiotic or definitely toxic chemotherapy medication to treat it? People should stop celebrating New Years with champagne? Ethyl alcohol is most definitely a poison - try drinking 500 ml of it undiluted and see what happens. POISON is just a scare word. Should be ban people from growing Aconitums, because they are very POISONous lol? Especially the morons who scalp their lawns 2-3 times a week, causing a lot of lawn mower emissions, and just end up with a big pile of crabgrass and Microstegium. (well it usually isn't must of a pile...more like a concrete covered in dingy green) If people in the midwest want to have a front lawn of native prairie - go for it. I guess you can call the fire department out to protect their house during the periodic once-a-decade burn down. BTW it won't have dandelions in it, because they are a Eurasian invasive. If people in the east want to have forests as a front yard (and back), go for it. Definitely better for the environment than a lawn scalped 2-3 times a week. I've leave it as a mental exercise for people to see through your "As a matter of fact, the dandelions actually make things grow better!" I guess they can pull N P and K out of a trans-dimensional portal, too.
