This may be a stupid question, but I can't seem to find an answer on google. Will white-stemmed malabar spinach cross breed with or fertilize red-stemmed malabar spinach? Or vice versa? I have a white-stemmed malabar spinach that grows in the house year round and makes its own seeds that grow new white-stemmed malabar spinach for planting outside. I recently acquired a red-stemmed malabar spinach. When it flowers, does it need to be kept a distance from the white-stemmed malabar spinach to prevent it from crossing with the white-stemmed malabar? Or will it only fertilize the seeds of another red-stemmed malabar? And vice versa. Thank you.

I have a colleague that has some in her garden and it died back last summer even with some summer irrigation. I don't know yet if it is coming back. The Achillea hung in there though. I would guess that it was given about 30-40% ET0 in summer. I would plan on probably giving it at least 60% ET0 if I were growing it here in LA. That means about 4 inches of water in July. Did you ever receive seeds for standing cypress? I grow the mix (red, yellow, orange) but haven't had a chance to collect the seed yet as it has been so wet from rain here. I also have impatiens balsaminae seeds if you are still looking for those. Penny

 I have six new plumeria seedlings which I raised from seed this spring and they are now around 15 cm (6 inches). I have noticed something strange: three of them are starting to branch at this stage, without obviously having flowered yet. Is this common on certain kinds of plumerias? Because I had never heard of that. I brought the seeds back from a trip to Malaysia this winter, I took the seedpod directly on the tree; it was a large red plumeria.
