lemon balm seeds

have put some lembon balm seeds in a mini greenhouse in march - they germinated quite quickly but have not grown since - still dont have true leaves - they havent dried out have been kept just moist - what am i doing wrong?

You probably haven't done anything wrong, according to the information below. Perhaps you could increase the temperature a little, and they'll soon hurry up a bit.

Seeds are slow to germinate, about 40 days, and should be barely covered as they need light. Refrigeration for 2 weeks before sowing, followed by sowing in a warm place, may hasten germination. Ideal temperature for germination is 20C.

Lemon balm seems to self seed all over my garden with no help from me. So I wouldn't worry about it - they'll probably take off in spring.

You might have better luck getting starts or splits from someone near you. Lemon balm can be pretty rampant, and people will probably be happy to give you some.

Just a note about the Persimmons Ornamental: This pepper is actually a pseudocapsicum that's closely related to the Jerusalem Cherry and thus, all plant parts including the fruits may be toxic. Please use this plant strictly for ornamental purposes! Lots of seeds available! Currently, I can accept only a few more SASE orders for Sweet Pea Vine, however, many more for Lemon Balm.
