Yuk!!!! But then I would say that to the sugar as well! LOL.
We actually had a friend who used to put a small pinch of salt in his cup of coffee. He said it brought out the flavour. Doesn't appeal to me though.

No, I don't even have the excuse of "too early...".
But I am blaming my sister. I was at her house making the coffee and the salt she uses for cooking looks just like sugar AND she keeps it with the coffee, tea and sugar stuff.
Do you know it took ages to get the taste out of my mouth?

There's the time my 22yr old but a teaspoon of coffee into the full 3kg canister of sugar or the time I put a spoon of coffee into my husbands glass of cold drink accidently - still haven't heard the last of that. Well he did put his glass right next to my coffee cup.

Well, a long time ago, I did accidently pour the hot water into the sugar basin instead of into the cup (which was standing next to it).
and the time, a long, long, long time ago, when myself and my 3 sisters were all in the kitchen together with my mother who was making custard on the stove. I can't remember the conversation now but I know it came to an abrupt stop when my mother poured the freshly made custard down the sink instead of into the jug!!!!!
We have NEVER let her live that down.

Many years ago when I was doing a pottery course I was mixing a test batch of local clay with a teaspoon in a marg container. I had put in a smidgeon too much water, so I left it on the kitchen bench to dry out a little. When I came back, there were smear marks on the teaspoon as if someone had eaten the clay. The Spouse finally owned up - reckoned it was the worst chocolate icing he had ever tasted...

I am the only person I know who has ever boiled an egg until it was black and charred, and once i made stock from chicken bones, and the bones turned to dry, powdered ash.
But the one that stands out best in my mind is the rabbit stew my ex made. I never liked rabbit stew anyway so it was no loss. Isn't it funny how like cornflower, icing sugar looks - LOL it might have been a very sweet sauce but it din't improve the stew one bit.

My little sister was making us a self saucing pudding one time but misread the directions and instead of putting 3/4 of a cup of water in it she added 3 to 4 cups. Theres nothing like self saucing sauce for dessert. LOL

You're quite an author, well written, got quite a laugh. I did a similar thing with beetroot juice once but no where near as bad, just on vinyl floor and cupboard doors in the kitchen, but that was bad enough.

ROFLMAO That was great. Very good site you have there MooQuack, lots of interesting and funny stuff. I enjoyed reading some of your exploits in WA as thats where I live.

Worst soup. Dad made a big pot of soup, poured it into a container and put it in the fridge. Filled the pot with hot water and left it to soak. Mum came along soon after and thought ah, soup's ready, still warm, I'll just bring it back to the boil and we can have some for lunch. A few minutes later we were summoned to the table. At first my complaints about the taste were met with the suggestion that it just needed more salt. Luckily Dad finally agreed that it was a little bland and went to the kitchen to investigate, at which time the source of our "soup" was discovered.

I made lasagna soup one day, quite inadvertantly though. I was trying to make lasagne for the first time, made my bechemel sauce and the meat sauce, layered everything and put it in the oven but when I took it out the sauces had gone runny and my lasagne sheets were floating in this meaty cheesy 'soup'. I think we ended up with cereal for dinner that night. LOL
